People’s attitude towards wetlands shifted from wasteland to valuable land only in happens last few decades, several researchers estimate that the world has lost natural wetlands as high as 87% since the 17th century. In china the police makers started to target wetland degradation in 2000, however many tabula rasa approaches displaced the local villagers and developed those wetlands into inappropriate tourist parks.  

The film takes Robert Smithson’s notion of time and entropy as a geological agent, combines the latest approach of polyculture and wetland restoration, and introduced a new model for local villagers to coexist with the wetland on the estuary of the yellow river.
