Huangyuan County, which is located in the Qinghai province of China, is renowned for its cultural heritage and natural beauty. The county boasts several temples and historic landmarks, such as the Huangyuan Confucian Temple and the Ta'er Monastery. Additionally, it is celebrated for its stunning grasslands and the unique nomadic culture of its people. Despite the fact that my family's nomadic lifestyle ended generations ago, Huangyuan remains a cherished hometown, filled with fond childhood memories for many of my relatives.Although my mother often shared stories of her primary school experiences, it wasn't until February of 2011 that I had the chance to witness it for myself. Upon arriving at the school, I was struck by the fantastically bizarre experience of walking around the area, with its visually striking yet disorienting atmosphere. It seemed like the time of this space was frozen in a mystical parallel universe. Currently, the district is undergoing transformation into a tourism park, yet it felt almost as though we were walking around a film set. Our only companion was a cleaning lady who kept spying on us the whole time in case of any untidy mess.I couldn't help but wonder, if this is an amusement park, where do the students go?
